Meeting Minutes

10/11/07

I. ROLL CALL AND INTRODUCTIONS:

The meeting was called to order at 3:04 PM. Roll call established a quorum.

Members present: Phil Pearson, Chair Ray Sylvestre, Treasurer

Other Persons Present: Shae Porter – APD Joan Mannix – Volusia ARC Anita Martin – parent Sandra Mills – APD liason Jennifer Ortiz Tom Brander – Covenant Support Services Ed DeBardeleben - APD

II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

The minutes from the meeting on September 13^th, 2007 meeting were received and discussed by members and guests present. Member Ray Sylvestre made a motion to accept the minutes of the September 13^th, 2007 meeting. Motion carried.

III. OLD BUSINESS:

Phil said they are going to be looking for subjects for December’s newsletter. Phil also made a suggestion to have an APD spotlight so people can know what APD is about. Shay suggested putting in something about mentor day. Sandra suggested putting a paragraph about medical transitions in the newsletter. Phil is interested in getting families to recommend their favorite providers.

IV. NEW BUSINESS

Agency Update- Shay announced that the 2^nd Friday of every month people can come and interview coordinators.

At the next FCC Meeting a Covenant Support Services Worker will come and talk on SSI/SSDI.

Budget- After all of FCC’s expenses we will be left with over $3,000.00 to spend at the end of the year.
